Hip Danish folk music with a modern sound
Tumult is a unique band with a very personal style. They aim at playing hip Danish folk music with a modern sound, and have done so for 10 years with a wonderful mixture of folk, roots and rock. They break down barriers, stir things up a bit – and releases the raw power that lies within urban folk music. The style is Danish folk music with a modern sound and the pleasure is great.

Devilish rock and naive folk

So far they have released three critically acclaimed and widely popular albums with traditional and self-composed songs and tunes – all with Tumult’s very own "hip" and modern twist. The band has been nominated for several Danish Music Awards and their music and enthusiasm have so far opened doors in Denmark as well as throughout Scandinavia, Northern Europe and Russia. Where ever they go, they are greeted with great enthusiasm and their music always manages to create tumult on the dance floors.
